I’ve taken to going “simple” and “ordinary” as far as subjects are concerned these days. I’m trying to be spontaneous in response to this Weekly Photo Challenge from the Daily Post.

Photo taken with a disposable camera one week after 9/11. It’s grainy, it’s very raw, but it captures the gloom and destruction that New York rose up from. We not only remember those lives that were lost on 9/11, but we say thanks and remeber to the brave and the bold who responded to this tragedy.

This week’s
Weekly Photo Challenge from the Daily Post tells us to “Go out and take photos and share a shot that reveals a new and different POV”.
It gave me a chance to walk around and find a spot to take this shot. Any excuse to leave my desk instead of being glued there from the beginning to the end of my day.
I try.
The boy heads for the jeepney, the most common form of public transportation in Manila. Heading to school? Heading home? Just another journey, just another day.
